This is my 3rd decade as a professional educator. I began my career teaching Spanish and Science in junior high. From there I moved on to high school and taught ESL and Native-speaker Spanish classes as well as Citizenship and ESL classes in Adult Community School. I was also an adjunct professor at the University of LaVerne and California Lutheran University where I taught Teacher Preparation courses for the Education Department and Introductory Counseling Classes for the Counseling Department.
In addition to my teaching experience, I served as a high school counselor, high school vice-principal, Junior high school principal, and District Special Education Administrator.
I have been an administrator here at the Academy since 2009. I am proud of the growth and achievement of our students and staff. Together with parents and community support we have built a reputation for producing, academically solid, well-behaved students and citizens. Although we do not (yet) count any national heroes, business tycoons or Nobel prize winners among our alumni, we are patient and confident in their potential and excited to hear of their future successes.
