Certificated Salary Schedule

Employees who are working on an Alternative Authorization or Emergency Authorization will be placed on the R1 step and will remain there until they receive clear certification, proper endorsement, and/or degree.

Returning employees will be placed on the corresponding cell and respective column/lane as of May 1st for the following year, provided that they meet the performance criteria defined by the State of Idaho. Otherwise, the employee will remain in the cell held in the previous year.

Additional credits must be completed after initial certification, be from an accredited college, be in a relevant pedagogy or content area, and verified by official transcript. Transcripts must be received by the Business Manager no later than May 1st to be applied to the following school year's contract.

Please note that under current law, Residency rungs do not qualify for the BA 24+ or MA+ allocation, but the school has chosen to pay additional amounts to employees based on their additional education.

Support

Teachers have lots of support at The Academy. In addition to volunteers, paraprofessionals are in most classrooms. Kindergarten through 3rd grade have two paraprofessionals per classroom. 4th-8th grade have one paraprofessional per classroom. Teachers in Special Classrooms (Music, Spanish, etc.) have a paraprofessional on an as needed basis. Paraprofessionals work 15 hours a week and assist with anything from grading to classroom management to making copies to subbing. This makes for seamless learning for the times a teacher may be out of the classroom.
