FAQ

Is there a cost to attend The Academy?

No, we are a tuition free public charter school.

Oops! I entered something incorrectly.

Please make sure to check your work. One common mistake is signing up for the wrong grade. If you don't catch it until after the lottery, there's nothing we can do. Make sure that you enter the correct age and birthdates of your student(s). Double and triple check your entry details before you submit.

Who qualifies as a sibling?

To qualify as a sibling, students must share a residence AND a parent (either biological or through legal adoption).

Do I have to reapply every year?

Yes. Until your student is enrolled in The Academy, an application needs to be submitted each year to be included in the lottery.

Does applying on the first day of the lottery window give me an advantage?

No. There is no advantage regardless of when one applies during the lottery window.

At what age can a student begin school?

Students must be 5 years old on or before September 1 of the current year to enroll in Kindergarten. Students must be 6 years old on or before September 1 of the current year to enroll in 1st Grade.
