I love art! Doing projects with young people makes my day. It is rewarding to watch their confidence grow as their creative skills increase. I love when a student excitedly says, “Look at my art!”

I introduced the art program at Connor Academy in 2008.  Our program teaches the Elements of Art: Line, Shape, Form, Space, Color, Value, and Texture. We then observe how art masters, such as Monet, integrate these into their art. Hands-on projects help students apply these skills and increase their own creativity.

Teaching at Connor Academy is fulfilling because excellence is valued. I love working with the Connor staff as well as parent volunteers who become friends. We all have the opportunity grow in a positive environment and care about each other here.

All five of our children graduated from Connor Academy, where they learned how to learn.  They are going on to successful careers because of the leadership and self-management skills they practiced here.

My husband Curtis and I live out in the country north of Pocatello. When I am not creating, you will find me gardening or reading historical fiction.
