From a very young age, music has been a big part of my life. After earning my bachelor's degree in vocal performance from Idaho State University, I was hired as adjunct faculty by ISU to teach private voice lessons and direct the Idaho State Children's Choir. I have been teaching music at Connor Academy since January of 2013, and love that I get to share what I am so passionate about every day in my job!

My music interests are wide and varied. I love classical, jazz, pop, rock, country, opera, musical theater and much more. Though primarily a singer, I also play piano and guitar. I have sung in many musicals, operettas, and operas; as well as with chamber choirs, concert choirs, jazz choirs, jazz quartets, and rock bands. I have played instruments in orchestras, marching bands, percussion ensembles, wind ensembles, jazz bands, and rock bands. I have been the musical director and/or stage director for various choirs and musicals. I also dabble in composing and arranging. Since I began teaching at Connor Academy, I have spearheaded many all-school concerts, which are always highlights of my year.

I and my amazing husband, Scott, have lived in Pocatello for many years. All four of our children graduated from Connor Academy, which gives me a particular understanding and appreciation for our school from the vantage point of a parent, as well as a teacher. My favorite part of my job is watching the faces of children finding joy in making music!
