We hope everyone had an amazing Fall Break filled with fun, family time, and adventure! Before the break, some of our 1st and 2nd graders had their own exciting adventures right here at school!
Mrs. Maynard’s 1st Grade Class: Our first graders also had an exciting visit from Chubbuck Fire Department! They had the opportunity to learn about the important work firefighters do to keep our community safe. What a fun way to learn about our community helpers!
Mrs. Bigelow’s 2nd Grade Class: Students had a special visit from Officer Bigelow of the Pocatello Police Department! He brought his police Harley and explained how he uses it to patrol the roads and help keep our community safe. Students loved getting to ask questions and learn more about the important work police officers do.
Thank you, Officer Bigelow and Chubbuck Fire Department, for taking the time to visit and give our students such a positive, hands-on learning experience!
A big thank-you to our local first responders for taking the time to connect with our students and make learning come alive!

We hope everyone enjoyed fall break! Our teachers were clearly READY for vacation because it looks like they all had the same travel plans! 😂✈️
Mrs. Helmandollar and Ms. Craig Smith apparently booked the same flight and ended up sitting just ONE ROW apart! What are the odds?
Looks like you can take the teachers out of The Academy, but you can’t keep them apart!

🎃 Meet Pumpkin Jack! 🎃
Pumpkin Jack is joining Mrs. Payne’s class for a science project that will last the entire school year! Students will observe Jack’s decomposition process and watch firsthand how nature breaks things down over time.
Who knew one pumpkin could teach so much? Stay tuned for Jack’s yearlong science adventure!

Alpine’s Fall 2026 Student-Led Conferences are officially in the books! Students prepared, reflected on their progress, and shared their goals with their parents and teachers. We’re proud of our students for taking ownership of their learning and looking toward what’s next!

Making a Difference Beyond the Classroom!
We’re proud to have our very own Marcy Jordan, as the 2026 SHAPE Idaho Middle School Teacher of the Year! She presented at the 2026 SHAPE Idaho Annual Conference: Connected in Motion at Boise State University!
Marcy presented on teacher-based suicide prevention in middle school, sharing valuable knowledge and strategies to help educators recognize warning signs, support students, and create a safer school environment.
We’re proud to have Marcy who goes above and beyond to learn, lead, and make a difference in the lives of her students!
At The Academy we are so grateful for all the amazing teachers who love and support our students!
Congratulations Mrs. Jordan!

Alpine students put leadership into action part 2

Alpine students put leadership into action by spending time with our younger Connor students. From playing at recess to reading together, they showed kindness, inclusion, and what it means to be a great role model.

Come show your support for Alpine’s young entrepreneurs! ❤️ Shop their products, explore their services, and help support their hard work.

The Idaho Spring 2026 Reading Stats are in, and we couldn’t be prouder of our Academy students!
Both Connor and Alpine students worked hard, put in the effort, and stayed committed to growing as readers and it shows! Way to go, Mustangs and Falcons!

Looks like someone turned recess upside down! 😂🙃
These Mustangs are proving that sometimes the best way to enjoy recess is to hang around… upside down!

Congratulations to Connor’s Citizens and Scholars of the Month for September!
We are so proud of these students and the positive example they are setting. Thank you to all of our amazing students for starting the school year off right and making The Academy such a great place to learn and grow!
Keep up the great work, Mustangs!

Stepping Into the Spotlight!
This week, Alpine 8th graders took center stage in drama class as they presented their monologues!
Monologues may be a solo act, but they help students build some serious skills—from confidence and public speaking to expression, creativity, and communication. Students learn how to use their voice, body language, and emotions to bring a character and story to life.

We can’t believe it’s already been a whole month since school started! Time flies when you’re having fun!
A big THANK YOU to Kelly Cammack with Premier Properties Real Estate Co. for treating our staff to a yummy soda bar! It was the perfect way to celebrate making it through the first month of school!

Safety is always a “cone”-cern at The Academy!
We have such awesome parents and guardians! A big THANK YOU to Ms. Nez for coming in and helping our students learn all about road safety!
You really steer us in the right direction!

Once upon a time, Connor’s second graders celebrated the joys of storytelling!
They wrapped up their Fairy Tales & Tall Tales unit by dressing up as their favorite fairy tale or tall tales characters and feasting on Paul Bunyan’s famous flapjacks!
It was a happily ever after kind of day! A huge thank-you to our families for helping make it so magical!

A big thank you to Beth Keck for visiting our Alpine Academy 8th grade science students!
Beth shared about her work with Search and Rescue, including running search dogs in a variety of weather conditions and the technology used to communicate during emergency situations. Our students loved learning how science, technology, and teamwork come together in real-world emergency response!

Today in 5th Grade DARE, our students got to experience the famous “beer goggles”!
The goggles simulate some of the effects that alcohol and drugs can have on vision, coordination, and movement. Students took turns tossing a ball to one another while wearing the goggles—and catching it was definitely harder than it looked! If they missed, they had to keep the goggles on while finding and picking up the ball before trying again.
It was a fun (and eye-opening!) way for our 5th graders to experience firsthand how impaired vision and coordination can affect everyday activities.
A big thank-you to Officer Case for being such an amazing DARE officer! Our 5th graders absolutely love him!

The Alpine Volleyball team brought the energy to an off-season tournament against local district schools and came home with a 2nd-place finish! What a fun way to keep competing, building skills, and getting ready for the season ahead.
And did you know? At Alpine, students can participate in basketball, volleyball, AND cross country starting in 6th grade! While many district schools begin these opportunities in 7th grade, Alpine 6th graders can jump right in and get involved.
More opportunities. More teams. More ways to find your thing at Alpine.
Congratulations, Falcons! We’re proud of you!
